I was drawn into photography by a desire to capture moments of my children's lives. Now I look at those old photographs and I see the tender underside of my life at that time, often a mood or a deeper emotion that went undetected as daily life slid by.  
My slice of life shots ~ from a North Caroline countryside to a European cityscape ~ tell a story, someone else's, often someone who sees life very differently. I love the romance of classic photography, those old black and white shots that capture the quick glimpses of a life utterly different from ours, the fleeting images we take back with us from a trip to a foreign land.
